Pam Cox

Board

Pam Cox’s life and ministry are defined by an unwavering trust in God, a resilient spirit, and a deep-seated joy.

Raised by a grandmother who fiercely loved Jesus, Pam discovered the beauty of compassionate service at an early age.

As a young girl, she walked alongside her grandmother in community outreach, learning to minister to those in need through simple acts of kindness, home-cooked meals, and intentional prayer.

This foundational upbringing shaped Pam’s lifelong mission: to live as a tangible reflection of Christ so that everyone she encounters can see, hear, and feel His love.

More About Pam

In 2010, God began weaving a new thread into Pam's story when she met Craig at Harvest Church, later connecting with Daphne in 2012. Over the years, Pam watched with admiration as God moved through the Costa Rica missions that both Craig and Daphne were passionately involved in.

Recognizing a shared heart for global kingdom work, the three of them began praying for an opportunity to one day step into professional ministry alongside each other.

A decade after those initial prayers, God faithfully aligned their paths. In April 2026, Pam officially joined the Beyond The Known International team as the Operations Coordinator.

Bringing her heart for stewardship and precision to the organization, she oversees the financial and accounting areas of BTKI, ensuring the ministry is structurally empowered to expand its impact.-

Laurie Taylor

Board Chair

Laurie has been participating in mission activities since her early teen years as part of her church youth group.

One of the first mission trips, and one of her fondest memories of her Mother, was a trip to the eastern part of Kentucky where they conducted backyard bible clubs for the kids in a mountain community.

This trip was so inspirational for her and set a course for many more mission opportunities.

Laurie has had the privilege of being part of backyard bible clubs, vacation bible schools, church choir trips, college evangelical teams, and other youth events in several states in the US.

More About Laurie

She’s also traveled internationally to Moldova and to Costa Rica to share Christ’s love with children and adults alike.  She has included her own daughters in many of these trips as well.  But her heart is in Costa Rica with the people she first met there in 2011.

Since that time, Laurie and her family have formed strong bonds with the community of La Fortuna, Guanacaste.   It has been a privilege to be a part of the work in that area since her first trip there.  When Craig approached her with his ideas for Beyond the Known International, she was thrilled to be a part of the founding of the organization.

Laurie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1984 from Murray State University in Kentucky.  She moved to Texas shortly after her college graduation and has lived in Texas since that time.  She has worked in the finance organizations of local city government, privately held companies, and publicly traded companies.   She was the Chief Financial Officer for 3 years for a privately held telecom company and Chief Financial Officer for almost 10 years for a privately held energy company in Dallas from which she retired in 2019.

Laurie has been married to her husband Chuck since 2022.  As a blended family, they share two sons, two daughters, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  They live primarily in Texas where their daughters and a few of the grandchildren live.  But Laurie and Chuck do spend time in Colorado with their sons and remaining grandchildren. They have two dogs, Neil and Charlie, and love spending time together traveling, laughing, reading, playing Yahtzee, and being still.

Joshua 24:15 says in part, “…choose you this day whom you will serve.  But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”  It is Laurie’s and Chuck’s desire to be faithful in their service, faithful with their time, faithful with their resources.  Beyond the Known International is an organization that allows for those words “as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” to have hands and feet.  The Taylor’s are truly blessed to be a part of this work.

Tamra Bullard

Board

Tamra was introduced to a true relationship with Christ after meeting her now husband, Chad, in college.

Since that time she has had a passion for ministry of all kinds and the privilege of serving God’s people on many fronts:

mission trips to Southeast Asia, serving the local youth group, leading home based small groups, and supporting missionaries overseas to name a few.

More About Tamra

When her husband went into to full time ministry in 2010, Tamra had the privilege of serving alongside him in children’s ministry and planting two churches - one in Odessa, Texas and the re-establishment of a local church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Tamra earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Angelo State University in 1997. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2002, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008, from AT Still University in Mesa, Arizona.

She currently owns a concierge physical therapy practice and two gyms in the metroplex area.

Tamra and Chad were married in 2001 and now have three children ages 15, 12 and 10. Aside from time spent at their local church, they are busy sports family, enjoy weight training with their children, and spending intentional time with friends.

Chad and Tamra claimed Mark 7:24-27 for their family early in their marriage. It states,

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

aIt serves as a reminder of how the Lord is in the middle of it all when you follow Him and allow Him to be your foundation. Tamra feels privileged to be on the board of Beyond the Known International, whose foundation is truly built firmly on The Rock in all it does to serve the people of Costa Rica.
